Mission Statement

The United Way of PEI’s mission is to improve the lives of Islanders and build community by engaging individuals and mobilizing collective action.

About This Cause

The United Way of Prince Edward Island has been changing lives and strengthening communities for over 60 years. Established in 1962 with a vision of creating a stronger, more inclusive community where everyone can thrive, we have been harnessing the power of collaboration and community support to address complex social issues. With a deep-rooted commitment to enhancing the well-being of individuals and families, the United Way of PEI has become a trusted catalyst for positive change. United Way funds programs and creates solutions that reduce the impacts of poverty, break the cycle of domestic violence, ensure access to mental health services, and help kids succeed both in and out of school. Our community faces some big challenges. The United Way brings Islanders together to tackle these challenges head-on. When we come together as a community, we can make PEI the best it can be. All donations made to the United Way of PEI stay on the Island.
