Mission Statement
We love local! When you give to United Way of Colchester, you help more people and non-profits in your community. Your donation is combined with other community, corporate and donor contributions and pooled into what we call, The Community Fund. United Way of Colchester County invests your gift in essential programs and projects that create opportunities for people in our community to live better lives. Donations are invested in Programs and Agencies that support our Focus Areas: Moving People From Poverty to Possibility Helping People to become Healthy and creating Strong Communities Helping Kids Be All They Can Be
About This Cause
With your help we create opportunities that improve the circumstances of people in need, right here in our community, where we live and work! Our donors are an unstoppable force for change! Your support fuels United Way's work to strengthen our neighbourhoods, so we can all benefit in a healthy, vibrant and caring Colchester County. We focus on three areas when working to improve lives in Colchester County: From poverty to possibility: Moving people out of poverty; Meeting basic human needs (ex: food, shelter, literacy, jobs) Healthy people, strong communities: Improving access to social and health-related support services; Supporting resident and community engagement; Supporting community integration and settlement All that kids can be: Improving access to early childhood learning and development programs; Helping kids do well at school and complete high school; Making the healthy transition into adulthood and post-secondary education We invest your donations back into essential programs and projects that create opportunities for our community members to improve their lives.
