Mission Statement
Humber River Hospital Foundation raises funds to invest in the programs, technologies, and equipment that make our Hospital’s superior patient care a reality. As North America’s most digital Hospital, our investment in cutting-edge technology is world-renowned. We are also located within Toronto’s most diverse region, serving a catchment of 850,000 community members. For the past few months, Humber has been at the forefront of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. The north west part of Toronto has been particularly hit by this pandemic and Humber has had more COVID-19 patients than other hospitals in the city. But this fight is far from over and our healthcare needs are rapidly changing. Looking ahead, we will need your help to support Humber’s culture of leadership and innovation by expanding programs, technologies, and equipment. Together, we can be ready to meet the increasing needs of our growing community while battling COVID-19.
About This Cause
Humber is leading the way when it comes to COVID-19 testing. With the help of generous donors like you, the Hospital has recently acquired three new testing machines that are being used on-site to detect this deadly virus. But the cost of the equipment is only part of the overall expense of testing for COVID-19. While we cannot put a price on the health and safety of our staff, patients and community, we do know that COVID-19 will be part of our lives for a while. The ongoing testing required is expensive but vital. With donor support, we can ensure our Hospital has the tools we need to detect this deadly virus, thereby saving lives and keeping the community safe as we re-open our Hospital to the city.
