Mission Statement

At the Calgary Military Family Resource Centre, our mission is to empower military families and unite our community. Our Vision is to have an engaged and resilient Canadian military community.

About This Cause

Whether you’re a Canadian Armed Forces member (CAF), veteran, family member, loved one or friend, you understand and appreciate the unique challenges that make being in the military an occupation different from any other. At the Calgary Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) we aim to help lessen the impact of these challenges. We support families of Canadian Armed Forces members within our service area of Southern Alberta, including Red Deer, Calgary and south to Lethbridge. Our programs and services include family separation and reunification support, counseling, crisis intervention, child and youth programs, prevention, support and intervention services, social activities and events, personal development workshops, discounted admission passes, and more. The Calgary MFRC is one of 43 Canadian MFRCs created in 1991 by the Department of National Defence in conjunction with the Military Family Support Program.
