Mission Statement

CSCO is a non-profit agency dedicated to supporting individuals with diverse needs in building community relationships, by offering them the opportunity to realize their recreational, educational and volunteer capabilities.

About This Cause

CSCO set up the first ever Clubhouse for adults with developmental disabilities. Thanks to AB Lotteries funding, we are building a food service training concession stand. The Clubhouse Connections (formerly called Social Skills programs) have resumed. These programs welcome hundreds of participants each year who share a passion for music, dance, cooking and recreation CSCO has a vibrant and friendly culture where folks are welcomed as a valued part of the community. CSCO has been in operation since 1987. Originating in the garage of one of the parent's homes, it remains a grassroots society with several parents serving on our volunteer Board of Directors. Currently CSCO has 50+ full time participants (adults with developmental disabilities) who each have an individualized program which may include biking, yoga, literacy, healthy eating, walking, crocheting, cooking, relaxation and concentration, arts and crafts, sports, skip fit, community access and volunteering. CSCO serves an additional 600+ participants annually who sign up for 10 week programs such as cardio drumming, food for fun, fun and games, sit and get fit, music and motion, rhythm and drums, sweet as pie, karaoke, dance and snack and chat programs. We work with Clubhouse Champions (agencies and individuals that we network with) to create fun and engaging programs.
