Mission Statement

The vision of the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association (CHHA) is a Canadian society that is respectful and fully accessible to people with hearing loss. Through education, public awareness, service and advocacy CHHA strides to empower all Canadians living with hearing loss.

About This Cause

The Canadian Hard of Hearing Association (CHHA) is a national organization that promotes education and access to resources for Canadians who are deafened or suffer from hearing loss. CHHA was organized in 1982 to meet a need not addressed by any other organization. It is the only national voice of hard of hearing people in Canada. CHHA provides a vehicle for hard of hearing and deafened people to make their needs known and to work at ensuring that those needs are identified and addressed. CHHA helps Canadians to hear and be heard. We are the only national, not-for-profit bilingual consumer organization that advocates for the needs of the over three million Canadians who live with hearing loss. CHHA is a national organization, with 20 branches and 6 provincial chapters from coast to coast, as well as a national e-network for young adults.
