Mission Statement
RIVERVIEW ASHLAND CHILD CARE CENTRE INC. Children are active, experiential learners. We strive to create an environment where children can explore and discover independently, fostered by the guidance of trained Early Childhood Educators. Activities are planned to promote growth of the whole child, physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually. Each child is a unique individual with the right to be loved and respected in a safe, secure, and stimulating environment. This Centre encourages respect for self and other, independence, problem solving, creativity, positive self esteem and cooperation. Parents/Guardians are the primary caregivers and play the most important role in the child’s life. It is therefore essential for a partnership to develop between our Early Childhood Educators and parents. Daily communication from both sides is important. Our program is designed to offer a “homelike” environment where children receive varied opportunities to grow and develop at their own unique rates.
About This Cause
We operate as a non-profit, charitable organization, licensed by the Province of Manitoba. Our child care facility is nestled in the heart of Riverview. Our Centre is licensed for 65 child care spaces and our trained Early Childhood Educators and Child Care Assistants provide quality, nurturing care and emergent curriculum programming for both our preschool and school age programs year round. We want our children to experience all the amazing natural resources our Riverview neighborhood has to offer and RACC works consistently to collaborate with our community and plan our outings and guests based on our local experts, businesses and other organizations such as: - Riverview Community Centre - Riverview Health Centre - South Osborne Garden Co-Op Our community shapes the children who live here so having positive connections with our neighborhood is important.
