About This Cause
Since 1929 Macdonald Youth Service (MYS) has been committed to finding innovative ways to support at-risk youth overcome the barriers they face and build better tomorrows as they transition into adulthood and independence. MYS serves 10,000 children, youth, adults and families annually in Manitoba of which sixty six percent are Indigenous. The agency provides the following culturally informed and partnered services: specialized group care programs, treatment, foster care homes, supported independent living, mobile crisis and follow up therapy, twenty four hour shelter, skill building,employment skills development and culturally based programs. MYS empowers Manitoba's young people to make their own way in the world through our main service areas in Winnipeg and the surrounding communities of Thompson and The Pas.
