Mission Statement

The GRIT Program provides early childhood education and support services for children with developmental disabilities and their families. Our programming takes place in the children's natural settings of home, community and school in order to facilitate and inspire inclusive futures.

About This Cause

The GRIT Program has the vision of communities embracing diversity, and upholding the value and rights of all children and their families. Our mission is to provide family-centered and inclusive early learning experiences to support the meaningful participation of children with disabilities in home, community and school. In the child's home we work to engage parents as active participants in their child's development. We recognize the unique strengths of each child and work with them to build skills and confidence and we engage the children through to enhance development and helps them achieve learning goals. In the community, we help children experience the joys of childhood, provide specialized resources and technology to meets their needs and demonstrate meaningful inclusion for everyone in the community. In schools, we collaborate with teachers and early learning centers to ensure every child and family feels that they belong and are welcomed and we prepare families for their transition into our education system - holding a vision for their child's and families future.
