Mission Statement
An urban church, providing vibrant community, a safe place to grow spiritually, and opportunities to serve others with compassion and reach those who don't yet know Jesus
About This Cause
We passionately support the St.Lawrence, Canary, and surrounding high-rise communities in downtown Toronto. We provide a safe place for Kids & Youth to develop and grow in their mentorship skills. We have weekly kids & youth programs all for free, every week. Our summer camps are at a reduced rate for only $10 a week/per child, so that every family can afford to send their children to a high-quality summer camp! We have created a basketball program for students that want to pursue the next level of basketball, but can't afford to pay the fees. The only payment received from the students, is volunteer hours, giving them hands on opportunities to use the mentorship skills we teach, to elementary students. We have a free kids & youth program in the largest Wigwamen housing complex in Toronto (Canary District), and we were able to give every student a Christmas present this past year! We help seniors and anyone else that needs help with technology and provide necessary teaching to avoid scams. We have regular food drives in partnership with the Toronto Police 51 Division, delivering food to shelters, homes, and anyoone in need. We create regular community events for everyone to join, such as community BBQ's, Easter Egg Hunt, Christmas Party, and more! Our values: Compassion, Mentorship, Diverse Community, Creating Hope, and Outreach We have many new friends to Canada/refugees that our volunteer staff (who has experience in this area) helps direct them with paper work, finding there own places (so they can move out of the temporary shelters), and securing items and winter clothing to furnish there new homes and be prepared for a Canadian winter!
