Mission Statement
Fredericton Food Bank is a non-profit, charitable body whose purpose shall be as follows: 1. To aid those who are in need of food. 2. To help those who are in need of adequate clothing. 3. To provide education in the areas of health and personal financial management, and other areas as determined by community needs, with the intention of helping those in need towards self-sufficiency. 4. To provide contact with other organizations in areas of mental health and spiritual and emotional care. 5. To be available to help in times of natural disaster.
About This Cause
Greener Village is the site that houses the Fredericton Food Bank, Unique Boutique, Learning Kitchen, and Gardens/Greenhouses. Greener Village is actively tackling the growing problem of food insecurity by offering food hampers and clothing vouchers to people in need. In response to the growing need in the community, Greener Village is also offering learning programs for skill development in the areas of food production, processing, preserving, planning, and budgeting as well as other learning classes in the areas of financial management, debt management, and general budgeting. We believe in a hand up model to address the growing problem of food insecurity.
