About This Cause
Ballet Creole is a not for profit organization founded in 1990 by Trinidadian-born Patrick Parson, for the purpose of sharing contemporary Dance and Music inspired by African-Caribbean cultural roots. Through dance and music performances Ballet Creole brings a culturally diverse voice to mainstream stages for all to experience and celebrate. Through community dance and music classes, workshops, and professional training, Ballet Creole promotes an understanding of culture as well as an appreciation for the Arts as a mode of expression. Ballet Creole's motto is Diversity in Harmony which reflects the values of the Canadian mosaic. This message is embodied in all aspects of of the organization.
