Mission Statement
We are a non-profit childcare provider for families in the Kitsilano area and students at Henry Hudson Elementary. We strive to offer high-quality, affordable after school care.
About This Cause
HOOSC was founded and incorporated on November 26, 1973. It is a registered non-profit society. The Society and its services were created in response to a strong demand for quality, accessible and affordable before and after school care for Hudson Elementary School and the community. HOOSC takes great pride in providing programs designed to meet the needs of each child, while nurturing positive growth and self-confidence through challenging and fun activities. An annually elected volunteer parent board meets monthly to oversee the Society’s business, to give support and guidance, and to develop policy.
