Hospice Toronto enables access to appropriate care and support for those with serious illness and their caregivers when they need it, where they need it, and whoever they are. We achieve this through our culture of caring and discovery that is fueled by passionate, dedicated volunteers, imaginative partnerships and a focus on research and innovation.
About This Cause
Hospice Toronto provides home hospice palliative care for people living with life threatening illness and their families, at-no-cost. Hospice Toronto is a catalyst for change as our rapidly aging population and the rise in chronic illness creates the immense need for community-based, in-home hospice palliative care and support. Gaps in healthcare funding are growing larger, not smaller, with our populations' health needs and care growing. We must continue to grow and innovate unleashing the power of care and humanity through the vulnerable needs. Our programs include: - In-home hospice palliative care - Volunteer training - Community-based Day Hospice Programs - Grief and Bereavement support - Peer to Peer Support Program for Homeless - Young Carers Program - Creating Caring Communities - Expressive Arts Therapy Program - Virtual Photo Walks Program
