Mission Statement
Stratas awards scientific grants and scholarships to students and early career scholars in Canada making discoveries that improve our understanding of the causes and treatments of mental health disorders.
About This Cause
Stratas is a seed-stage nonprofit organization that awards scientific grants, bursaries, and scholarships to early career scholars in Canada doing high-priority research on the causes or treatment of mental disorders, including but not limited to depression, schizophrenia, anxiety, attention-deficit hyperactivity, bipolar, obsessive-compulsive disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. In Fall 2019, upon the completion of our Winter, Spring, and Summer 2019 fundraising cycles, we will open a call for research applications from Canadian senior undergraduate (Honours), Master's, and PhD students, as well as post-doctoral researchers, with innovative research proposals on mental health research questions that address the needs of Canadians. Our Selections Committee will select the best researchers, from a diverse range of backgrounds, to undertake these projects.
