Mission Statement
The mission of the Heart of the City Music Program Edmonton is to proactively address the social issue of poverty and social justice by the advancement of a more equitable opportunity for at-risk youth to participate in music lessons.
About This Cause
Heart of the City Music Program (HCMP) provides free weekly piano and guitar lessons to youth and students who cannot afford the cost of private music education, in partnership with the Edmonton Public School Board (EPSB), Edmonton Catholic School District (ECSD), and the Norwood Child & Family Resource Centre (NCFRC). All of our teachers are community members who generously volunteer their time to share their love of music.
