Mission Statement
Building Brighter Futures in Bolivia by providing programs that deliver education, counselling and nutrition to underprivileged children as well as skills training to underprivileged women and youth.
About This Cause
Help Bolivia Foundation provides a nutritious lunch program and education support to children at a community centre in El Alto, Bolivia, as well as skills training programs to the parents and youth. Children are referred to the centre by their schools and other local organizations because they are in need of extra support. They may be malnourished, extremely poor, have learning disabilities, living with domestic violence, living in single parent households, or have been abandoned by one or both parents. None have an adult at home that can help with homework. All are indigenous Aymara and come from migrant families who have moved to the city to provide a better future for their children. These are the children slipping through the cracks in a country that does not yet have a social safety net. Help Bolivia Foundation is providing the support the children need so that they can improve their futures with education and break out of the cycle of poverty. Hungry children do not learn! The Nutrition Program is the foundation of the success of these children. Please help us Build Brighter Futures for this community!
