Urban Tails Animal Rescue is dedicated to improving the lives of animals in need, one adoption at a time. By advocating for their welfare and strengthening the connection between people and pets, we cultivate a community of passionate and responsible pet ownership.
About This Cause
Urban Tails Animal Rescue is a foster based, animal rescue charity. Urban Tails rescues both dogs and cats of all ages, breeds and sizes, including special needs, senior and palliative care cases in the Toronto, Canada area. We hope to see a world where every animal is always valued, protected, and cherished. By providing vital support and accessible resources to the community, we strive to change the way people engage in animal welfare and advocacy. Through our dedicated network of foster families and volunteers, we cultivate genuine companionship and lifelong commitment. Our Values: Community Awareness & Outreach. We prioritize accessible information and resources to serve animals and the communities they are in. Our outreach initiatives include partnerships with animal shelters and rescue organizations, both local and abroad, public speaking engagements, and distribution of both physical resources (e.g., food, supplies) and digital materials. Community Spay & Neuter Programs. We deeply value spay and neuter initiatives as cornerstones of responsible pet ownership. The significance of these programs helps us to prevent pet overpopulation, reduce the number of animals in shelters and eliminate the strain on available community resources. Low volume, High Quality. We intentionally keep a manageable amount of rescue cases in care to ensure each animal receives all the time, check-ins and medical attention they deserve. Our hands-on approach means ensuring we are allocating the appropriate resources to fosters, adopters, and animals. In doing so, we create meaningful relationships between our team, the public and all of our partners. Exceptional Experiences. We love a good experience, and the experience of every animal is important to us. Our approach towards each animal is to develop a catered understanding of their persona over time. In every step of our process, from the initial interview to the post-adoption check in, we are committed to a genuine, lasting experience for all.
