To empower and advance the rights and opportunities of African-descent Canadians by providing direct services, conducting research and policy analysis, and advocating for national-level policies that enhance their quality of life and protect their human rights.

About This Cause

The African Canadian Civic Engagement Council (ACCEC) is a national-level organization that empowers and serves African-descent communities in Canada through advocacy, direct services, and research and policy analysis. Vision: A Canada where African-descent communities are equal, thriving, and respected members of society, and where they have the resources and support, they need to fully participate in and contribute to society. The African Canadian Civic Engagement Council (ACCEC) is an organization that aims to empower and engage the African Canadian community through civic engagement and community-building initiatives. ACCEC is focused on promoting diversity and inclusion and working to address barriers faced by the communities of African descent. The organization works to create opportunities for members of the community to participate in the civic, social, and economic spheres of Canadian society and to build a stronger, more inclusive Canada.
