Mission Statement
To enhance quality of life for children, youth, and families affected by childhood cancer. We support Vancouver Island (including the Gulf Islands) families during treatment, post-treatment survivorship, and palliative care and bereavement.
About This Cause
All island families that face childhood cancer will be supported and cared for through the duration of their cancer journey Island Kids Cancer Association strives to strengthen family connections and let kids be kids. By providing personal connection, individual support and linkages to community programs we aim to transform each child’s experience from anxiety and isolation to one of support and hope. The Island Kids Cancer Association Angel Network program provides outreach to families who have lost a child by providing special programs, retreats, counselling and resources.
