About This Cause
Maziwa empowers mothers in developing markets with the ability to continue working postpartum, without compromising on breastfeeding. We have launched Wema, a discreet, hands-free, wireless, and portable breast pump, equipped with breastmilk storage, which allows mothers to express breastmilk in any environment. Maziwa also addresses systemic challenges for working mothers with our Community Breastfeeding Ambassador (CBA), employer support, and public advocacy programs. Through these initiatives, Maziwa aims to ensure that no mother is forced to choose between her baby’s health and her family’s economic wellbeing.
