About This Cause
Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary (HEEFS) is a permanent home for more than 70 farm animals who have been either abandoned or surrendered from by their previous owners. HEEFS has a dual mandate: 1) to provide a safe and lifelong home to the animal residents at The Sanctuary. Part of work includes becoming as self-sustaining as possible in the care and feeding of the residents, which includes planting fruit and vegetable gardens and an orchard. 2) Raising public awareness about the lives and true nature of farmed animals. Our public awareness campaign includes video and social media outreach, television and radio appearances, books and opening the Sanctuary for public tours
