Mission Statement
Knight's Cabin hosts retreats for cancer survivors and their support person that focus on research based information physical activity, nutrition, sleep and stress management. Retreats offer a place for survivors to rest, recover and focus on their health and help them make the best of the rest of their lives. All programming is at no cost to participants.
About This Cause
More cancer patients than ever are surviving intensive cancer treatments. The mental and physical impact of cancer does not disappear when treatments are done and yet we stop providing any treatment. Cancer survivors often face physical, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual and financial challenges as a result of their diagnosis. This retreats offer a place for survivors to unplug and unwind in order to focus on what matters most in their lives. The retreat also offers practical health behaviour counselling on physical activity, nutrition, sleep and stress to help prevent secondary disease, recurrence, and aid long-term effects of treatment to help survivors make the best of the rest of their lives.
