Mission Statement
Team Cat Rescue is a Registered Canadian Charity and 100% Volunteer-run & Foster-Based Cat Rescue in Toronto/Hamilton (GTHA). We focus on saving death row cats from high kill shelters and gassing pounds as well as euthanasia lists at local shelters and clinics.
About This Cause
Team Cat Rescue is a 100% volunteer run registered charity that rescues cats and kittens from high kill shelters and gassing pounds in Ontario and Northern Communities. We save cats and kittens from euthanasia lists in shelters and vet clinics. In the 12 years of operation, we have rescued and rehomed around 5000 cats and kittens from high kill shelters as well as other at-risk situations. We are responsible for not only spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchips but we also take in special needs case. We have taken in cats and kittens from abuse situations, abandonment, diabetic cats, FIV+ cats, blind and ones that require extensive treatments. Our income to pay for all medical, food and litter comes from adoption fees, fundraising activities and donations. We are 100% volunteer run so no volunteer receives payment for services. All money raised goes into the needs of the cats and kittens under our care. We have also assisted some low income people get help for their cats on occasion.
