Mission Statement
ALL OF US AT SICKKIDS ARE FIGHTING THE SAME BATTLE: TO MAKE EVERY KID A HEALTHY KID.
About This Cause
It’s one we’ve been fighting since 1875. And we’re winning. Because of our world-leading research and care, more children survive life-threatening medical illnesses today than ever before. But there is still so much more to do if we are to realize the full scope of the SickKids vision: Healthier Children. A Better World. Right now, quantum advancements in scientific knowledge and technology – made possible by donors like you – present an unprecedented opportunity for SickKids. To be ready for the next round, we need your help to: RE-IMAGINE OUR CAMPUS: Construct a new, state-of-the-art building on University Avenue with up-to-date clinical facilities—a hospital with more room for technology that is built to control infections and seamlessly integrate family into every step of the healing process. CONTINUE BREAKTHROUGH RESEARCH: Invest in research leadership, clinical trials and ongoing funding for the scientists already recruited to accelerate groundbreaking discoveries and speed the translation of these discoveries into treatment. PARTNER FOR BETTER CARE: Build partnerships to deliver better care across Ontario and the globe to ensure patients receive the right care in the right setting. Treat physical and mental health challenges holistically. Expand initiatives that build capacity globally – delivering, on the ground, on our belief that where you live shouldn’t determine if you live. It’s a massive challenge, but one that has to be met. So SickKids Foundation is actively inspiring communities and individuals to take up the fight by investing in our Hospital, its mission, and the health and scientific advances your gifts make possible. Join us in the fight against the greatest challenges in child health
