Our mission is to transform our communities through integrated educational and community-response empowerment initiatives for children, youth, new immigrants, women, and their families. Our vision is to become a leader in connecting new and young generation Canadians to information, education, counselling, and mentorship.

About This Cause

The Ontario Learning Development Foundation (OLDF) provides integrated educational and community-responsive initiatives that enable children, youth, new immigrants, women, and their families to have an equal opportunity to participate in an inclusive Canadian society regardless of age, race, economic, or academic background. Our vision is to become a leader in connecting new and young Canadians to information, education, counselling, and mentorship. We aim to break the cycle of poverty by empowering people of all ages to dream, aspire, and succeed through our literacy initiatives. We operate within the Greater Toronto Area and locally within Toronto’s Jane and Finch area. OLDF provides specific programming for adults, women, new immigrants, children, and youth. These initiatives include our Homework Club, Summer Learning Camp, Virtual Tax Clinic, the Microsoft Office Certification, the Newcomer Outreach Settlement Program, the Women Entrepreneurship Program, Career Counselling and the Youth Leadership Engagement Program. We also have publications for Youth, Youthmind, The Newcomer, Business Hub, Women Quest and Black Voice Our organization has five main objectives: 1. To develop and provide education, employment training, and literacy programs to youth and new Immigrants 2. To provide counselling services about unemployment and education to youth and new immigrants 3. To assist with job searching, resume preparation, employment training, language instruction, and translation services 4. To establish and maintain an employment training centre for the benefit of youth and others 5. To offer courses, seminars, conferences, and meetings on general topics including employment, education, abuse, lifestyle, and old age Charitable Registration Number: 821048543RR0001
