Mission Statement
BabyGoRound supports low income and vulnerable families across the Lower Mainland by providing resources and essential baby gear so they can safely care for their babies and toddlers, and are equipped and empowered to thrive.
About This Cause
We strive to operate as an impact-driven organizations that positively impacts families as well as the environment. By collecting gently used baby gear and clothing, ensuring everything is clean and in good working order and then redistributing it to families who are referred for our services, we help famileis in need in an envoronmetally, economically and socially responsible way. By providing concrete resources to families through a network of social service professionals, the stress of having a new baby can be alleviated for those mothers who are struggling financially and facing other barriers. BabyGoRound partners with over 95 health and social service agencies located throughout the Lower Mainland to refer families for our services. All families have a household income of $40,000 or less and have at least one of the following vulnerability factors: new to Canada, single mothers, teen parents, mothers who have survived domestic abuse, mothers recovering from substance misuse, and families with a child with disabilities. Our partnerships with these agencies ensure that our services are supporting those families who need it most. Last year we diverted more than 25,000 pounds of baby gear and clothing from entering the Lower Mainland's waste stream before the end of its useful life.
