The mission of Dress for Success® Montréal is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
About This Cause
With help from its volunteers, Dress for Success Montréal provides each client with professional attire to secure employment and a network of support to help them achieve their goals. In tangible terms, it is a team that accompanies women throughout their journey, from the moment they secure a job interview all the way to achieving professional success. When they are referred to Dress for Success Montréal, not only do our clients work with a stylist to select their professional outfit, but they also receive coaching and advice as they prepare for their interview. As they take their first steps into the workplace, our clients will have access to a network of support, career development tools and training to help them retain their employment and thrive in their career. Dress for Success Montréal enters the scene once a woman has secured a job interview or internship. We act as the bridge between the organization that helped our client set up her interview and the beginning of her career by providing appropriate work attire and coaching on how to prepare for the working world. Ultimately, our services are specialized and complementary to those already offered by other organizations. Besides physically equipping the client with apparel and accessories, our programs furnish her with a confidence that she carries forever and the knowledge that she can actively define her life, the direction she takes and what success means to her.
