Mission Statement
The MAB-Mackay is the result of a merger in 2006 between two historic and highly respected establishments in Montreal, the Mackay Rehabilitation Centre and the Montreal Association for the Blind (MAB). With our more than 100 years of history and expertise, we are a leader in working with children with motor impairments (including cerebral palsy, spina bifida and muscular dystrophy), who are blind or visually impaired, are deaf or hard of hearing, or have a language disorder.
About This Cause
The MAB-Mackay’s mission is to help these children develop their skills, train them with the necessary tools, and build their confidence so they can reach their full potential and enjoy a better quality of life, in spite of their physical impairment. Each year, more than 1,680 babies, children and teenagers are served at the MAB-Mackay.
