About This Cause

Established in 2012 as part of United Way Toronto’s Building Strong Neighbourhoods Strategy, the Rexdale Community Hub (RCH) enhances social conditions and creates accessible community infrastructure in Toronto’s high-priority neighbourhoods. Spanning 78,843 sq. ft., RCH offers a safe and well-organized shared space for partner agencies to deliver a wide range of collaborative health and social services, including: • Primary health care • Settlement services for newcomers • Legal support • Housing assistance • Children and youth programs • STEAM Club (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) • Food programs • Collaborative Community Events Program • Rexdale Community Grocery Market • Employment services • Community Makerspace for innovation Partner Agencies RCH hosts several key organizations that provide essential health and social services, including: • Albion Neighbourhood Services • Delta Family Resource Centre • Rexdale Community Health Centre • Rexdale Community Legal Clinic • Rexdale Women’s Centre • Toronto Employment & Social Services Community Engagement & Shared Spaces Beyond service delivery, RCH offers multi-purpose community spaces where residents, grassroots organizations, and emerging groups can host various activities, such as: • Basketball leagues • Soccer clubs • Yoga and dance classes • Sewing groups • Other community-led initiatives These spaces foster social, recreational, and civic participation, ensuring that RCH remains a vibrant hub for community engagement. Industry-Grade Makerspace RCH is also home to a state-of-the-art Makerspace, a hub for STEAM education and innovation. Equipped with advanced tools, including CNC machines, 3D printers, laser cutters, and a recording studio, the Makerspace provides hands-on learning, creative expression, and technical skill development opportunities for youth and community members. By offering collaborative services, accessible spaces, and innovative programming, the Rexdale Community Hub continues to empower residents and strengthen the community.
