Nepali Children's Education Project

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide poor and orphaned children with the financial means to access and complete primary and secondary education in Nepal. In doing so, we are guided by the following values, which breathe through all aspects of our organization. 1. Support female education 2. Empower the disadvantaged 3. Embrace equal partnership 4. Promote collaboration 5. Create sustainability wthout dependency While our model is designed to foster stability and sustainability, it is also structured to avoid creating dependency. We exist to serve the students we sponsor, and their families; we do not ask for or expect anything in return. Education is a valuable form of aid that empowers people to help themselves, and if we can enable a fulfilling and enjoyable educational experience for our scholars, then we believe we have succeeded.

About This Cause

NCEP was founded on the simple belief that a small group of dedicated people working toward a common goal can make a large impact in the world. The Nepali Children’s Education Project is a Nepali-Canadian partnership that is founded on the belief that education is the key to empowering children, families and communities living in poverty to pursue a brighter future. We accomplish this through comprehensive scholarships for children in need that go beyond just textbooks and admission fees. Our aim is to create a full support network by recruiting and developing young leaders in Nepal who work as mentors and big brothers/sisters for our scholars.
