Mission Statement

Our Mission is to provide comprehensive compassionate care to all in our community during their journey with a life-limiting illness.

About This Cause

At Grey Bruce Hospice Foundation, we believe each day can be filled with precious moments. Our entire team is dedicated to helping make those moments possible for our residents and their families. Choosing hospice does not mean a person has given up. Hospice care isn’t about dying; it’s about living life to its fullest. Our Vision is community supporting community to live well with dying. Grey Bruce Hospice Foundation operates Chapman House, an 8-bed hospice that serves the residents of Grey and Bruce Counties, located in Owen Sound. The palliative care team includes nurses, personal support workers, spiritual care providers and volunteers who provide a wide range of support services around the clock. Family members and friends are encouraged to visit with their loved ones at any time and to participate in their end-of-life care. The resident rooms include comfortable living spaces for family members to stay, day or night. The hospice is available free of charge to patients or their families. Referrals may be made through the Ontario Health at Home (OH@H).
