Mission Statement
Eli's Place will be a rural long term residential treatment centre for young adults with serious mental illness. Our supportive therapeutic community will promote recovery and resilience through the acquisition of life and work skills.
About This Cause
There is a huge gap in mental health services in Canada for 18- 35 year olds suffering from serious mental health issues. Our rural long term recover based model with an average stay of 6 - 9 months and 1- 2 years in transition will provide life and work skills. Presently, 4% of this demographic are able to avail themselves of 6 week programs with NO transitional opportunities. We're modelling after Gould Farm in Mass., a 108 year old Residential Treatment Farm with exemplary Outcome Studies.
