Mission Statement
Hockey 4 Youth fosters social inclusion for newcomer and high priority teens through free ice hockey and our off-ice experiential T.E.A.C.H. program (Technology, Entrepreneurship, Arts, Community giving, Healthy active living).
About This Cause
Hockey 4 Youth is using the sport of hockey as a vehicle to foster social inclusion, English literacy improvement and experiential learning opportunities. We work with newcomer teens and kids in Canada along with other youth who face barriers who are in high priority neighbourhoods. Our students are in grades 5 -12 and are between the ages of 11 - 19. We currently have 11 programs in 6 cities across Canada (Surrey, Vernon, Windsor, Toronto, Ottawa & Montreal). Nine of out of our eleven programs are exclusively for girls. We will be expanding our programs to more cities across Canada in the 2024-25 season.
