Mission Statement

PAL Calgary is a non-profit charitable organization serving the arts community by championing opportunities for accessible and affordable housing, fostering a sense of social connection, and identifying additional resources for Calgary based artists and arts workers. This includes artists, administrative workers, technical workers or anyone else who works or has worked in the artistic community. PAL Calgary believes that all Calgary artists and arts workers deserve to live a life of dignity, free from isolation and in connection with community.

About This Cause

PAL Calgary was originally incorporated in 2006 by a group of incredibly energized artists, advocates, and business people. The original board members stewarded the organization through a community survey and needs assessment, and obtained the organization’s charitable status. The current board is a group of energized arts workers, advocates, and leaders whose goal is to provide resources and community for arts workers. PAL Calgary will position themselves as a major resource to the arts community, providing a conduit for opportunities related to affordable housing and a healthy lifestyle for all Calgary based artists and art workers. We believe that all Calgary artists and art workers deserve to live a life of dignity, free from isolation and in connection with community.
