About This Cause
Whole Way House is a Vancouver-based charitable organization serving Downtown Eastside residents with community-building programs and tenant support. It is our vision to offer hope, purpose and dignity by creating a safe and welcoming environment where tenants can build meaningful relationships and have a sense of community. We are currently working with 85 veterans and seniors living at the Veterans Manor, who are struggling with marginalization, addiction, mental health issues, and isolation with the hope to expand to reach more of our city’s most vulnerable. We believe that when a person feels loved and valued, they are able to find purpose in life and be a part of something greater. We offer friendship and support to those who are often lonely, isolated, rejected, and forgotten. Our mission is to: 1) ReConnect with people by building supportive and meaningful relationships 2) ReBuild a sense of community, belonging and purpose through education and training 3) ReCenter around a meaningful and purposeful life through one on one support and an integrative housing support system
