About This Cause
CISV Halifax is the local chapter of CISV International which was founded in 1951, as a global, volunteer-run, charitable organization, which promotes peace education through engaging young people from different cultures. The organization was founded on the premise that by bringing young people of different cultures together to learn and make friends, they would grow up to become ambassadors for a more just and peaceful world.
