Mission Statement
At Mosaic Institute, we believe that everyone has a right to be free from prejudice & discrimination. Mosaic equips people with the tools to dismantle prejudice in their own communities. We do this through: -Research -Dialogue -Policy -Education and Training
About This Cause
RESEARCH We conduct strategic initiatives and community-grounded research through our postsecondary fellowship and student research programs that identify prejudices and recommend actions. DIALOGUE We facilitate community led in-depth conversations using our Model of Dialogue to work through conflict, foster understanding, and find paths forward. POLICY We amplify the voices of Canadians to inform policy changes that will provide equitable solutions to prejudices faced in communities. EDUCATION AND TRAINING We work with and deliver workshops and resources for educators, community leaders, youth, government, corporations, organizations and policy makers to dismantle prejudice. FLAGSHIP PROGRAMS Next Generation: It can be overwhelming to think about changing the world when you're still trying to figure out who you are. Next Gen builds the foundation for young people to develop the skills they need to create a more equitable and inclusive future for all. By focusing on: identity development social-emotional learning communication conflict resolution skills UofMosaic: The UofMosaic Fellowship Program is a meaningful platform where Canadian university and college students are able to activate their potential to dismantle prejudice as part of a two-year program. The platform provides our Fellows with a significant professional and personal growth opportunities, and helps them to collaborate on youth-led and youth-focussed campus projects.
