Mission Statement
MADA’s mission is threefold: To help people in need with the basic necessities of life while preserving their dignity and helping them become self sufficient members of the community. To educate about poverty and inspire caring, sharing and sensitivity towards those in need. To be a platform for meaningful projects and educational opportunities. MADA has always sought to bring our community closer. Grounded in the simple philosophy that “we are all family”.
About This Cause
Founded in 1993, MADA is a volunteer-based organization that evolved from a small neighbourhood centre to Montreal’s central address for fighting poverty in our community. We provide our patrons with many social and crisis services free of charge, as well as serving as a safe haven for those in need.
