Mission Statement
To provide disadvantaged Canadians including new immigrants and others around the world with the basic needs including education and healthcare and community help that are required to enhance their quality of life.
About This Cause
The charity is engaged in the following activities: a) Assisting needy families, immigrants, refugees and individuals with the basic essentials of life b) Providing homeless people with meals and other essentials c) Supporting disadvantaged women and children including orphans d) Supporting seniors e) Providing information to new immigrants to facilitate their successful settlement f) Providing resources to find low-cost housing g) Supporting the education of children and women h) Supporting underdeveloped hospitals with medical equipment and medicine i) Supporting rural schools with basic supplies and IT equipment to enhance education We take pride in the fact that except for bank and other administrative charges, our overhead costs are nil. SHINE pays no salaries and is supported 100% by volunteers who donate their time and resources to carry out projects.
