Mission Statement
TVO Media Education Group (TVO) is a social impact charity that empowers and connects Ontarians through inspiring and accessible learning experiences for all. For more than fifty years, the people of Ontario have turned to TVO for high-quality educational resources that they can trust. Today, we have evolved from our origins as a public broadcaster, transforming into a globally recognized digital learning organization that provides Ontarians of all ages with access to our educational and current affairs content whenever they want on whatever device they choose. As we continue to expand our reach and impact, our purpose is clear: to inspire learning that changes lives and enriches communities across Ontario.
About This Cause
At TVO, we believe in the importance of equitable education. We provide access to quality learning opportunities that empower Ontarians to pursue their goals, improve their mental and physical health, and meaningfully contribute to their communities. TVO aspires to offer the people of Ontario the tools you need to dream, to imagine, and to create a better world. TVO helps you understand what’s happening across the province and around the world through our award-winning TVO Today current affairs journalism, documentaries, and podcasts that explore timely issues and solutions. We support young learners at home and at school through our fun Ontario-curriculum aligned TVO Learn resources for Kindergarten through Grade 12. We prepare children for school and life through our entertaining TVOkids learning experiences. And we offer a pathway for teenagers and adults to achieve personal and professional goals through TVO ILC, Ontario’s largest online high school. We do all of this by offering these resources on demand across all platforms–connecting with Ontarians wherever, whenever you need us most.
