Mission Statement
In the summer months, Zajac Ranch for Children provides camps for children and young adults with chronic, life-threatening and/or debilitating conditions. These experiences give participants the opportunity to explore the outdoors while developing greater social and environmental awareness, increased self-confidence and positive growth in attitudes towards physical activity.
About This Cause
Located on the shores of Stave Lake in beautiful Mission, BC, Zajac Ranch for Children is situated on over 40 acres of pristine forested land. In the summer months, Zajac Ranch provides camps for children with chronic, life-threatening and/or debilitating conditions. These experiences give participants the opportunity to explore the great outdoors and to enjoy the diversity and beauty of our wilderness surroundings. At Zajac Ranch for Children, we understand that our families face additional financial challenges that may impede their ability to send a child to camp. We also understand the importance of the camp experience, which is why we developed the Zajac Camper Allowance and made it available to every single participant registering for a Medical Camp session. The Zajac Camper Allowance would not be possible without the generosity of our corporate sponsors and donors who provide hundreds of thousands of dollars annually to support our special and in-need campers. When the Ranch is not being used for Medical Camp Programs, it is available to rent. By taking advantage of our facilities and activities, you help support the Zajac Camper Allowance, which in turn, helps ensure we can host as many applicants with chronic, life-threatening and/or debilitating conditions in our Medical Camp programs, as possible.
