RLC provides youth with the opportunity to learn life skills in a supportive environment, interact with role models, and positively contribute to their communities.
About This Cause
Rotary Leadership Circle (RLC) is a six-week program hosted throughout July and August. YAA facilitates the program (in partnership with RLC Youth Leadership Inc.), as a summer work project which promotes community engagement and skill-building. RLC provides youth with the opportunity to learn life skills in a supportive environment, interact with role models, and positively contribute to their communities. Youth aged 10 - 14 are eligible to apply for the program as Youth Leaders. During RLC, youth participate in activities within their organization, their neighbourhoods, and throughout Winnipeg for a minimum of 60 hours (approximately 10 hours per week. Youth participants must be available for all six-weeks of the program to be considered. A $200.00 stipend to spend on a supervised shopping experience will be rewarded to youth if all hours are fulfilled.
