Mission Statement

The Canadian Constitution Foundation protects the constitutional freedoms of Canadians through education, communication and litigation.

About This Cause

The Canadian Constitution Foundation pursues our mission through three main programs: CCF Litigation -- We provide and support pro-bono legal representation for individual Canadians who have been wronged by unconstitutional government actions, especially persons who could not otherwise afford to defend their constitutional rights and freedoms. We work to defend these individuals and to promote constitutional rights and individual freedoms more broadly. CCF Education -- We educate Canadians with respect to their constitutional rights and freedoms to help them better identify when a government is violating their rights. This is done through publications, events, projects (including the Primary Documents project, to make accessible our founding constitutional documents and debates), social media, conferences, etc. Runnymede Society -- We establish and support student-run chapters at Canadian law schools to ensure students at these schools are exposed to the ideas of the rule of law, constitutional originalism, and a classical liberal interpretation of the law.
