Mission Statement
The mission of the Women’s Musical Club of Toronto Foundation is to develop and prudently manage the financial resources required to support the activities of the Women’s Musical Club of Toronto, including its long-established chamber music concert series and funding of awards and scholarships to continue the development of talented young Canadian classical musicians.
About This Cause
The funding initiatives of the Women's Musical Club of Toronto Foundation currently include: Sponsorship of the Women's Musical Club of Toronto's Career Development Award, given every three years by the WMCT to a young Canadian classical musician who has already embarked on a professional performing career; Support for Music in the Afternoon, the Women’s Musical Club of Toronto's classical chamber music concert series; Support for the WMCT's scholarship programme; and Support for the ongoing operations of the Women's Musical Club of Toronto. The WMCT Foundation receives and maintains funds in order to enable the Foundation to carry out its activities. The Foundation accepts bequests as well as planning giving through the Legacy Circle, which attracts individuals wishing to support the Foundation’s objectives on an ongoing basis by making a bequest in their wills.
