Mission Statement
Since 1997, the WECHCPC has been your local resource for answering the crime & safety concerns of our neighbourhood. No one knows the community better than the people who live, work, and play there. When community members join in partnership with the Vancouver Police Department, it means we can all live more safely and without fear. An active community is a safe community.The WECHCPC is driven by volunteer power; people from the community that have a personal attachment to the area and want to make it a better place for themselves and for others. Our success depends on you, your skills, your knowledge, and your experiences. Together we make a difference.
About This Cause
Community Safety - By The Community, For The Community, Through The Community. The West End-Coal Harbour Community Policing Centre aims to make a positive change through volunteer-powered, street-based programs to enhance personal safety awareness. Using outreach activities, street patrols and reporting services we make a difference! We help the Vancouver Police Department with identifying crime and safety concerns in the West End/Coal Harbour/Stanley Park and conducts prevention and awareness activities that address crime and safety concerns. To do this, the WECHCPC recruits regular community members to help with solving real problems and to enrich the community.
