Mission Statement

We provide accessible services and support to immigrant and refugee children and youth and their families through the NEEDS Centre. Our goal is to enhance the integration of immigrant and refugee youth into Canadian society by providing employment, education and social programs to develop life skills.

About This Cause

Newcomers Employment and Education Development Services (N.E.E.D.S.) Inc. is a non-profit, charitable organization. The company was established in 1999 by immigrant and refugee women for newcomers to Canada. These women developed programming based on their own personal experiences, needs assessment and realistic expectations. Youth Mentorship Program: Youth aged 6 and up, until the end of their high school years. Landed Immigrant or Refugee status Employment Program: Landed Immigrant or Refugee status (parents cannot have a working visa) Youth aged 16 and up, attending high school Can be employed or have previous job experience in Canada Introduction to Canadian Education: Children and youth aged 6 and up, until the end of their high school years. Living in non-permanent housing Awaiting placement in Canadian school Landed Immigrant or Refugee status Youth After School Program: Immigrant and Refugee youth in school, aged 12 to 17 or until high school is completed Landed Immigrant or Refugee status
