About This Cause
Compassion House Foundation is committed to the vision of striving to ease the distress of the cancer journey for women. Compassion House Foundation operates Sorrentino's Compassion House a haven for women traveling to Edmonton for cancer treatment. Sorrentino's Compassion House is a safe, caring and affordable place to stay. Guests find comfort and support in the company of others who are facing similar challenges. Sorrentino's Compassion House offers 14 comfortable, private guest suites and shared facilities including a fully equipped kitchen, exercise room, library, resource room, hobby room and internet access. We work to decrease the barriers to treatment by assessing needs and developing appropriate programs and/or partnerships in the community. Founded in 1998, this sanctuary of healing support has provided services to women from over 260 communities in Alberta, North Western Territories, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and beyond.
