Mission Statement
The Vancouver Public Library Foundation (VPLF) raises funds to augment and enhance Vancouver Public Library (VPL) programs, services and branches.
About This Cause
At the Vancouver Public Library Foundation, we raise funds to support the Vancouver Public Library as it plants the seeds of learning, connection and creativity in our community. VPL provides spaces, collections and programs that prepare children for success in school, help newcomers to get settled in Vancouver and offer entrepreneurs and job seekers the tools they need to reach their goals. Donations to VPL Foundation brighten the lives of newcomers, seniors, families, youth and children all across our city. VPL relies on donor support to enhance activities that: • assist early literacy & language development for toddlers in Vancouver’s most vulnerable neighbourhoods • help young children with reading difficulties become book lovers with the help of a teen mentorship program • connect seniors with family and friends by learning how to use technology • provide family storytimes for hearing impaired children.
