About This Cause
When danger appears, zebras form a protective circle around their young. The Zebra Child Protection Centre’s multidisciplinary team of professionals works much the same way. The Zebra Centre gives a voice to children and youth who have experienced abuse in our community. Founded in 2002 as the first Child Advocacy Centre of its kind in Canada, the Zebra Centre’s model was revolutionary – bring together a community of professionals under one roof to support the child throughout the entire disclosure, investigative, judicial and healing process. Today, the Zebra Centre’s multidisciplinary team works towards the common goals of supporting children who have experienced abuse and creating a future where every child is heard.
